Dr. Shores and his family feel very fortunate for the opportunity to return home to Charleston, and he looks forward to serving the Lowcountry.
Nathan Shores, MD
Dr. Shores is a Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist.
He performed his undergraduate work at Wofford College (BS Biology) and attended the Medical University of South Carolina for medical school where he was Valedictorian and inducted into AOA.
After completing his internal medicine residency at Duke University (Durham, NC), he was Chief fellow in gastroenterology at Wake Forest University (Winston-Salem, NC). In 2011, he completed an ACGME accredited fellowship in Transplant Hepatology at the University of California, San Francisco.
His interests include the care of patients with all forms of Gastroenterological disease including hepatitis and cirrhosis. He also conducts clinical trials and performs diagnostic/therapeutic endoscopy.
